This is a two part workshop over two Saturdays from 9.00 to 1.00. The ticket price covers both Saturdays
Part 1 provides an overview of Kiln Formed Glass, an Introduction to tools, equipment and cutting techniques. You will then be guided in your own project to make a small ringdish/tea light holder and coasters. Part 2 involves a review of the results of the ring dishes. the properties and characteristics of glass and heat and production of four coasters.
The workshop will be run by Keith Sheppard. Keith has a wealth of know-how and a creative approach to working with glass. He established his glass art studio in 2011 and has quickly become recognised across the UK and Ireland for his unique work. The business specialises in the production of kiln formed glass art and focuses on the development of high-end bespoke pieces. The pieces predominantly involve the infusion of metals into glass; and this process gives each piece a further dimension of uniqueness and identity with enhanced vibrant colourations
